Mahul & Vishali's Wedding

How They Met

How the story began...well it started 1000's of miles away without Mahul and Vishali knowing that Mahul's friend (Ketan), who was on holiday in kenya went to visit family friends, who also turned out to be Vishali's masi (Bhartimasi) in Kenya. Unknown to Mahul and Vishali, they were playing cupid!

Being a salesman, Ketan had obviously done a great job and convinced Vishali's masi what an excellent candidate Mahul was and thus gave Vishali's contact details.

Upon returning to England, Ketan gave Mahul Vishali's details...and the story progressed to the next stage.

After several failed attempts of arranging to meet on a typical indian blind date, Mahul had to go on a Business trip to India. In order to not let the "lead" go cold Mahul called Vishali from India...which he thinks was one of the factors in eventually them getting married.....that old aahh how sweet....blah blah factor...

However, eventually Mahul and Vishali did meet, but as always with Mahul there was another story....Mahul, having been on several indian blind dates (no jokes on how may..lol) had decided to give Vishali an hour in his busy day for the initial meeting...

So thanks to Starbucks, where Mahul had become a regular...lol...he met Vishali for the first time on 23 October 08! Guy's don't be too impressed that Mahul recalled the date when they met...this was down to his blackberry!

Well, the initial small talk then led to them discovering how much they both had in common. Mahul felt for the first time he was treading in uncharted territory...and took the plunge to ask Vishali out for dinner that same night...no time wasting on Mahul's part!!!

Well one thing lead to another and within a few months Mahul had decided to propose to Vishali!

The Proposal

In order to keep the element of surprise, Mahul decided to take Vishali on a day trip to Milan on Ryanair! His excuse was that he didn't want Vishali to get wind of the fact that he was going to propose, but i think it's down to him being an accountant!!

The day started in the early hours, where Mahul checked, at least 50 times he had the engagement ring! They headed straight into Bergamo and whilst Vishali was taking in the city and the vibes, Mahul was stressing on when, where and how he will propose, and what if she said NO!

Well, with all these thoughts going through Mahul's mind, he saw the famous Duomo Cathedral and decided that is where he was going to take the plunge (with the help of god!)

Vishali confirmed that on the roof top, Mahul went down on one knee and in front of 100's of other people "popped the question"! After the initial shock she said YES!!!!!!
